Will is evidently too shy to big up his site to an excessive extent on here, so I will instead.
The Pulp trainspotting haven that is www.pulpwiki.net has been extensively updated over the last couple of weeks, inlcuding loads and loads of extra info that I originally compiled for my book, but wasn't included for space reasons. There are too many things to list here, but the goodies include details of just about every Pulp/Jarvis related live appearance ever, lots of info about recording sessions, films, radio appearances, line-up changes, all that. Will has done a great job of presenting it all, so go and have a poke around if you're interested in such things, I would.

The "exact make of instrument" thing was easier to do than it looks - in the It period, for example, virtually all the band's gear belonged to Peter Boam or Simon Hinkler, so it just came down to asking them what instruments they had at that time. And of course Candida basically just had the Farfisa for years and years. And so on.
I did indeed post the TiH info on here a couple of years ago.
I really wouldn't like to say whether or not the Going Back To Find Her demo actually exists. Nick seems to think they did a recording of it, presumably in the sessions for Separations, but if he's correct it would have been abandoned in the very early stages. Alan Smyth and Russell don't have any specific recollection of recording it (allthough nor do they swear blind that it wasn't recorded). If it was recorded, it was probably never mixed and might have been left as a backing track only.

Hey, you're that Mark Sturdy guy! I bought your book around 2004, after seeing it advertized on the pulponline.com site. I haven't quite read it yet, but that can be said of any book I've bought in the last several years that I didn't have to for school.
It's really incredible that you did that at such a young age. Thanks so much.

Just in case anyone doesn't know, loads of info is STILL being added to the Pulp Wiki on an almost daily basis. Go to www.pulpwiki.net and click on 'Recent Changes'. Will Phillips is on fire! He cannot be stopped!

not sure if this is the right thread BUT I have scanned in a heap of crap (yes too much time on my hands...) - Pulp related of course. My login is eple and yeah am enjoying doing and adding to this Pulp paradise! Apologies for my bad HTML-ing. Just copying what has gone before....So far I have been loading photos + scans of interviews - more Australian festivals, gigs, artciles etc that I have cut out over the years.
The quality of Pulpwiki is largely what dragged me back into Pulp fancircles when I started getting excited about the reformation. That's when I realised it'd be easy to put my old collection back together again, because everything was so damn detailed and precise on there.
So the Pulpwiki is pretty much responsible for the Portfolio project!

Thanks for the photos and other scans!
Don't worry about breaking the page layout or anything like that - it's easy to tidy up later.
The images you are sharing are hosted on Photobucket. That's not a problem if you find that the easiest way to do it, but if you don't mind, I will gradually copy them over to the PulpWiki server. I then know they aren't going to disppear at some point in the future.
I didn't realize Will was responsible for pulp wiki (though I guess I should have suspected) Very nice! Didn't the band themselves say they used it when they were rehearsing for their first shows last year? Wow!

Yes, I do run PulpWiki. Of course, lots of other people have contributed to what is there, so I can't take all the credit.
What I add to the site is actually quite self-indulgent - transcribing obscure fanzine articles from the 80s, while I've still not bothered to write proper biographies for the band members, for example.
Anyway, I'm glad people are finding it useful/interesting.
Will, I think it's probably fair to say the people using the site are more interested in 80s fanzines transcriptions than anything wikipedia-ish on the more famous band members!

You're wrong. I NEED to know Saskia Cocker's middle name! Is it better than Branson?
Oh thats fine Will, can I just upload straight to the Pulp Wiki? I will look into tomorrow. I've been doing it at work the last few nights so will have a look into that tomorrow. I have so much stuff so I'm just scanning in various stuff and seeing where I can put it. Thanks Will!
