We're all a bunch of nerds arnt we? The sort of just crossed my mind. We obsess over PULP stuff, want every bit of info we can get. And I assume (like myself as I am including myself) come to this site very regularly to feed this nerdish need. Am I wrong? (some of us have even written book(s) on the subjest) If this is offensive, I apologise in advance. But if I right, Im proud to be a PULP nerd.
Those of us who listen as much for educational purposes as for entertainment may be the worst nerds of all. I've learned a lot about songcraft and production just from listening to their albums. But if I can apply what I've learned effectively, maybe I'll be famous one day, too. Then who'll be the losers?

Aw, don't say that! Look, you're so close to getting to 250 posts and "levelling up"! (it also happens at 750, 1000, 2000 and 3000). It's the game the whole internet is playing!*

I just re-joined the board, but I'm happy to have a resource to other Pulp & Jarvis fans, even if that makes me a nerd. As far as idols go, I'd much rather be known as a nerdy Pulp fan than some of the other things people are into these days.
But it probably is a bit weird that I still have my collection of Pulp souveniers after all these years, though. Being a former pulp zine writer, I have a pretty impressive collection--just don't have the heart to part with any of it...much to my husband's dismay.
You know it's bad when you wake up from a dream wondering did Fearne Cotton really do a version of 'Help The Aged' (and it wasn't that sort of dream...i don't like her get-up if you know what I mean).
