I think I need to listen a few more times before I can make a fair judgement but I'm thinking that the intro is vaguely reminiscent of "The Babysitter" plus there are definitely shades of "Big Julie" and Scott Walker c. "Scott 3" or 4. In fact, the first line sounds something like "That was a good year" which is similar to Walker's "On Your Own Again" (it starts with "Wasn't it a good year?").
I have had a crack at the lyrics on the wiki. Still plenty of blank spaces to fill.
Musically one of the prettiest things theyve ever done.
All these new tracks have the Pulp vibe but an ultimate amount of maturity, even more so than WLL. Something that only the time away from the band has obviously given them. Even in their early stages theres a refinement that really suits the band right now.
I am absolutely loving this and really hoping we do get a record out of it. Its going to be vibes on the level of Blurs latest one, pure songcraft and a late-career masterpiece.

The last gig of the tour/year last night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
No Death I, II, Comes To Town, Goes To The Disco....but Pulp seem very much alive. The encore consisted of two new songs, Spike & Farmers and Jarvis seems to be more in love with Pulp than ever judging by his Insta post. "This is just the beginning...Pulp forever". No dying while they Live On.
