Increasingly excited for this book release. Mark is the member of Pulp I think I'd be most interested to hear from, because I don't really feel like I have, yet.

Mark was the original Pulp zine editor, then joined the band and came up with many of their best guitar parts, the ultimate outsider-turned-insider for the ultimate band of outsiders, in this essay I will

Really looking forward to this.

I love the idea of future biographers linking together the full Pulp story via contradictory excerpts from Jarv, Russell, Mark and Nick.

Ever see that clip of the three Beatles discussing meeting Elvis via their conflicting memories? That sort of thing.

No update on this but I've only just noticed that the project also has a Twitter/X account with a banner full of DC-era Webber contact-sheet (film-roll) pictures. Maybe Mark finally takes centre-stage with this book...

Wouldn't we have heard from a publisher by now if it's not going to be self-released?

We need more Webbo - maybe the reason he was missing from the hardback of Nick's book - he has his own coming out! And time for him to take centre stage, I agree. He's the best part of We Love Life and while his artistic sway over TIH may have been minimal (in his own words), his skilled musicianship really holds the album together in a way that otherwise it might not have done

neeeeeeeddddd this book released. mark's perspective is so singular when it comes to pulp's history, and he's always seemed so refreshingly honest (even about the not-so-good times).

Definitely. His perspective on the band would always have been the one I'd be most interested in reading. Still waters run deep.

I'm not getting hopes up too high about lengthy reflections/memories. Think it will be more image-based but hopefully we do get plenty of his thoughts. Enjoyed his commentaries that accompanied the digital singles release last year.

Yeah, I could be totally wrong but I kind of expect Mark's book to be less of a straightforward biography and more of an extended version of the Pulp commentaries from Facebook last year if that was him or like the way Jarvis did his around certain objects, maybe Mark will frame his around songs, albums or eras or something. Really interested to hear from Mark. And he's a Bowie fan too which maks him extra cool
