I thought I'd start a thread for the Uk Tour which starts in Manchester tonight.
I'll be at Newcastle tomorrow.
I've decide that if you want to post the setlist - maybe don't until the tour is done? If anyone WANTS to look at the setlist - I'm sure SetlistFM will provide!
Personally, I was hoping with the tour, Jarv might delve into his solo back catalogue a little more. I read that they would be playing some of the Tip Top tunes on tour, so that put doubt in my mind.
I listened to the Tip Top album for the first time yesterday. I quite like it! I dunno how many times a live crowd can muster him singing songs in french... but we'll see!
Going to Bristol on Saturday night. I haven't seen Jarvis solo since 2008 (saw Pulp at Wireless in 2011). An entire Jarv-less decade. Very excited to see the man in the flesh again! And as i've said on here before, Beyond The Pale is my favourite thing he's done since the first solo album. Can't wait to hear those songs live, especially since i've been listening to the album continuously since May 2020!
I was there .... recorded the start and finish...... all ill say is folks, its what wet dreams are made off!!!! Also the merch..... I won't spoil things, but a certain pulp song has got its own t-shirt.
I'm not looking at the other thread! I'm super excited now. I've got money for beer & merch... I've just realised this is my first "proper gig" since before lockdoon... my last being *Jarv Is at Steel Yard in March 2020...
*I actually went to see Bryan Ferry in Newcastle 2 days later but that doesn't quite fit for a good story.

I'll be at the Bristol gig on Saturday too. Had the tickets for 18 months, starting to think they were a figment of my imagination. I have looked at the setlist - don't panic, I'll respect this thread - very excited now. It does mean I can make a playlist to educate the other half before we go.

We'll use the one thing we've got more of, that's our minds.
I saw Baxter Dury tonight. Thought his mucker Jarv would make a guest appearance til I remembered he were elsewhere. Baxter could have done with some of Jarv's charm tbh.
Yep, it is. A few more new songs and some festival warm-up shows next Spring, new album and bigger tour next autumn? They're booked for Summer festivals anyway.
It was an ace night..
The version of leggers was the best live rendition I've ever heard, i wish Pulp had originally presented it like that..
I thought the hot chip guy was crushingly dull tho..
Anyroad, I've done something to my back..ouch...
I recorded the Sheff show..
Just got a new laptop, don't know what the feck I'm doing yet.. So the likelihood of me editing it anytime soon is negligible to say the least..
Anyroad, when i do get round to it, I'll let you know if anyone is interested?

Yes please, sir! Outstanding service to the Pulp/Jarv archives should be recognised by Mr C at some stage (probably via a deadpan quip about copyright).

Also me please :) I was there and enjoyed it but didn't even take a picture! (Though I was hanging around at the very back so wouldn't have taken a good one anyway)
