Wet Leg down as support at Finsbury Park.  Which is kind of apt given my last experience of a gig at Finsbury Park

As someone housebound, this is as much interest to me as the last set of live performances they did.

Jarv Is is the new stuff.  And there has been a fair amount of it.  That written, there is also a fair amount of post Hardcore material that could be released and even remixed/remastered into a new LP.  After all, who saw After You coming?  Though I must admit, I was surprised that was end of the second coming.

Bridlington is £62.50 plus booking fee.

Pulp's promoters have clearly pitched them as an upper tier legacy act. These seem a bit high for me, thought I could try 3 or 4 dates and whack it all on the credit card but might have to reduce the number now.

I would have thought that their own shows without an all-day outdoor support list, would be closer to £50. Not saying they don't deliver value as Pulp live are obviously great but Jarv Is...gigs are half the price and you still get She's A Lady or His'n'Hers!

They have an alarming name but Wet Leg are a neat fit with Pulp I think. Anyone who hasnt heard them, give Wet Dream or Chaise Longue a go. The other obvious current big (and great) act to pair with them is Self Esteem - she sang with Hawley at a Leadmill fundraiser and Nick is often bigging her up on Twitter.

I am looking forward to seeing Wet Leg.  Was going to get a ticket to see them in their own right, however they are playing in  Kentish Town on 24 Nov, which seems to be the most popular gig date of the year for acts I like. Had already opted for Hugh Cornwell in Islington with Fontaines DC and Squeeze missing out.

Saw Wet Leg support The Strokes at Lytham Festival last July.

They've been hyped to the hilt. Very catchy, simple songs, quite repetitive but easy to get into at a festival. Much more effective than on record/streaming when a whole album of it gets a bit silly.

I've seen a couple of interviews and they're either incredibly shy and charming (especially Hester) or very rude and immature...or both! They do that thing that teenage girls sometimes do of looking into each others eyes when being talked-to as if they're embarrassed and just want to whisper to each other about the person speaking to them. Kinda charming at 14, a little more odd when in their late 20s.

But I think they've been friends since they were kids and are treating their whole success with a healthy does of absurdity.

It narrows the window in June for non-UK festivals. Primavera in Barcelona must be a strong contender, they always enjoy it there.

Same here, so frustrating as due to back problems I prefer to get seating where I can and there were several front row seats available when I checked this morning. Will have to try our luck in the general pre-sales tomorrow.

Jarv is on Lauren Laverne's show on 6Music tomorrow AM.

Which will already equal the amount of press Pulp did in 2011/12!

Maybe they're worried they need to push these shows a bit in case they sell slowly. Or he's just being nice to a radio mate who has asked him on to chat about it.

I feel like I need to try to by a ticket for Finsbury Park or risk them not coming to the States. Such a big distance ...... but I cannot miss this.

So true story - I was stuck in the hospital when they'd played at Radio City 2012. Perfect venue! But I was stuck somewhere else - but I'm all better now!
