you are all very welcome. in the 10 years plus I'm on the net, I've downloaded so much great and rare music that this is a nice way to be able to be on the other side of that process.

so, what next?

Thanks very very much for Flux! It's another one I've had a cassette of for 12 years or so, but the CD comes straight from the original master I think.

What next? The 1992 ULU show would be cool...

Nice... the ULU show is pretty much my dream setlist.

I'm curious to hear the Osaka show. Is it typical of other shows circa 1996, or did Japan inspire Pulp to be a little experimental?

It was broadcast on BBC Radio 5 (Live) wasn't it? Before it became a solely news and sport channel. 909 and 693 MW...you can tell it's not in clear FM with the fuzzyness and interference. Gives it a bit of charm I suppose. Maybe we'll get the cleared-up version come the next, complete BBC sessions compilation. Actually that was the first time I've heard Live On from that session. Interesting that the Goodier version from eight months later is so much tighter and complete.

I think the main difference is that the Hit the North version is 100% live in the studio, whereas the Goodier one is a more standard studio session with overdubs and stuff.

"Cleaned-up version on the next, complete BBC sessions compilation", you say? Well, you never know...

Enjoying the Flux bootleg at the minute, thanks again Freek!

Yeah you're right...the Goodier version is more 'demo' than live.

Really enjoying the May '93 Garage gig. Surprised that the sound is actually half-decent. Fuss Free if you haven't already, download that one. You'll love it.

The Osaka show in Jan '96 is a fairly standard Pulp DC-era show (see here http://www.pulpwiki.net/Pulp/Live270196ClubQuattroOsaka) although they did play Have You Seen Her Lately for perhaps the only time(?) after the His'n'Hers era.

they also played Have you seen her lately in London 19 oct 95 and Paris 5 dec 95. that's an easy search for me now, just type in a song title and see where and when it was played. what would be the most played song in my pulp live folder?

ah sweet, that would be Babies. I seem to have 77 live versions of Babies. how mad is that? :)

anyway, Osaka jan 96 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=34KQ7FGW

what next?

Barcelona, 3rd of December 2001?
Just for a rare late-era performance of Razzmatazz purely because they were playing the venue of the same name, (can you check when the last time it was played live previous to that? Ta).

Razzmatazz (40 live performances): last time before Barcelona in my folders: 3 times on the US/Canada tour 1996 (New York 1996-06-03, 1996-05-30 Toronto, 1996-05-25 Minneapolis) last time UK: London 1995-10-20

and of course they played it at Auto 2002

Yeah, barely got a look in from DC onwards...interesting that it was brought back for a bit of the North America tour.
I think the only time it was played after was the last gig at Auto. A bit strange considering it gets a crowd going. Acrylic and later Joyriders seemed to be the token' anything up to HnH' non-singles songs done live after '94.
A cert for the summer's festivals you'd imagine.

hey Cutcopy, looking for Glastonbury 1994 (Lipgloss I do not have, neither do I have the songs that weren't televised) I came upon a place (feelingcalledjarvis blogspot, lots of pulp and jarvis solo to be downloaded on this russian blog) where you can download another australian 1998 show, Perth 1998-09-25

here's a link http://feelingcalledjarvis.blogspot.com/2010/04/pulp-15-metropolis-perth-australia-25.html

Thanks Freek for all these bootlegs.

I got a live version of On your own again, the file I have shows it has been recorded in the year 2000 at the Meltdown festival but Pulpwiki doesn't mention it. So, I am asking when this song has been recorded and where I can find the whole gig.

Thanks

it's not Pulp, it's a project called A Touch Of Glass. consists of Jarvis, Steven and some other people. I don't have the gig, so if you would email me On your own again, that would be appreciated!

this is from Pulpwiki:

A Touch Of Glass (1999/2000)

Dates:

31 November 1999 - 333 Club, London
25 June 2000 - Scott Walkers Meltdown, Royal Festival Hall, London
Line-up:
Jarvis Cocker (acoustic guitar, omnichord), Steve Mackey (bass, keyboards), Alasdair Molloy (glass harmonica). Plus only at Scott Walkers Meltdown, Mark Webber (guitar), 'Scott' (drums) and The Swingle Singers.

Setlist:

Roald Dahl (Venice) (1)
My Chopper (2)
Otley (3)
Forever in My Dreams (4)
Fire Island (2)
My Body May Die (5)
On Your Own Again (6)

Notes:
(1) This instrumental was used to open Pulp's low-key live shows in 1999.
(2) Instrumentals.
(3) Instrumental that later became The Trees.
(4) Instrumental that later became Forever in My Dreams.
(5) The only time this collaboration between Pulp and the Swingle Sisters was played live. (Only played at Scott Walkers Meltdown.)
(6) Scott Walker cover. (Only played at Scott Walkers Meltdown.)

All five of the instrumentals played were probably being considered for use as part of Pulp songs. Two of them, Otley (The Trees) and Forever in My Dreams, were eventually used.

Does a bootleg exist of Glasgow SECC from 1998? October or November, I think it was.
