So yeah, this a silly topic but

I was watching Die Hard for the first time in yeaaars, and noticed that Hans Gruber has a similar style to current days Jarvis. Almost the same clothes, same beard...

There is also a scene i cant find on the web, where he runs with a guns and shoots, and believe you me, me and the wife said at the same time: "It's like when Jarvis is dancing!"

Should Jarvis be the vilain in the next die Hard ?

I love this oh my god x) I'd love to see Bruce Willis try to take down Jarvis Cocker with lots of explosions & a fantastic soundtrack!

What sort of villain would Jarvis play? A scientist? More of a Riddler type? Unassuming revenge-of-the-super-nerd?

Yeah, definitely a mad scientist that tried to destroy America, and for whatever reasons, John McLane is involved and can beat him at 60.

Id pay to see that :D

Nice spot.  He wears some lovely stuff these days.  But then he can afford it now:  a clickbait link (and they're always pretty accurate) recently informed me he's one of the richest rockstars, worth over $200m.

I watched an interview with Alan Rickman the other day (part of end of year tributes), where he said the original script had Gruber dressed in military fatigues - and Rickman suggested the smart be-suited look.  Glad the director agreed, as it adds a lot to that character (and allows for the scene where incognito Gruber first meets... what do thee call him, Tonto or summat?).

Can't imagine Jarvis donning camo and military accoutrements... but I won't be surprised if someone on here has a picture, as he's worn some interesting stuff over the years.  Maybe Darren Spooner would wear military stuff, he seemed a bit more aggressive than Jarvis.

Jarv seems be going through a turtleneck phase at the moment (the moment being the past year). I've never seen him in camo, but I agree that Darren could probably pull it off!

He was wearing a 60s poloneck thing at the Thunderbirds gig I went to and I assumed then it was a bit of a 60s costume effort, but then I realised he's been wearing that kind of thing in lots of pictures I've seen since then. I'm not very observant when it comes to fashion, so maybe he's been doing it for ages.
