Good stuff.

A real shame that no It-era live recordings exist, even if they didn't really do much to promote it. That Crucible gig has great pics though (from Zbysiu Rodak - who was he/she and did they live in Sheffield?), sound to go with it would be swell.

Eamonn,

Yeah, it is indeed a shame. 13th April '82 appears to be the last date from which a tape might exist. I note that Wishful Thinking does survive on, again a presumably uncirculated tape from 28th Feb '82 . It's quite likely it will also be on the Marples gig from 15th Feb when/if that emerges.

And after that, there's nowt 'til 3rd June 1984, by which point it's four Sudan Gerri tracks, four tracks from Little Girl and two future Freaks tracks.

I think for "It, Live" you could take My Lighthouse from the RAH gig and...wasn't Blue Girls played on one of the forest dates...?

Not sure, but Blue Girls was played at the Edinburgh Queens Hall gig when they were trying out early We Love Life material in Aug'99. Definitely one of the more interesting latter-era bootlegs.

He was just a local photographer of the time. I tracked him down (not difficult - there aren't many Zbysiu Rodaks in the world) and he said he'd sold a lot of his photos to an agency called SIN (which I think has closed down now) and he couldn't lay his hands on any of his negatives. A shame, as I bet he's got some interesting unseen stuff.

And yeah, a real shame we don't have any live recordings from the It period.
