Did anyone else see this? Okay Russell appeared separately but it was a pleasant surprise to see him back on TV. Worth a watch.

Yeah, generous amount of time given to Pulp, can't believe they dug out a clip from the New Sessions, when Russell is out of tune. Then cutting back to Russell talking in a room full of fancy guitars and he holding one himself was quite amusing. When did he become a muso?! Maybe his son's stuff. He looked great, though. A pity he only got a couple of sentences of air time.

A fair bit of input from Jarvis and Steve though which was good. Another irony that came to mind that around the time We Love Life came out Jarvis spoke about being invited onto that "I Love 199x" series and how he said to them "I don't know about you mate but I'm living in 2001". I guess you can feel more at ease with retrospectives the further removed from the "glory days" you are.

Yes, I did see it and agree with the above.

Good to see that Pulp get their proper place in the telling of the story of the 90s. I like the way Jarvis and Steve conducted the interview in a typically un-showbiz, low-key way in Jarvis's back garden (or whoever's).

The programme made me realise a) that I must re-watch Trainspotting and b) I never need to see Damien Hirst again.
