Although emotionally I've been in denial, it's been coming for a while, the gaps have been getting longer and the programme runs have been getting shorter. Enjoy the last month, it's been a good ride.

A new album and tour would be delightful. Or a solo album...

It made me a little sad, Sunday Service has been special, a real staple of my weekends. The blow is softened though, since Jarvis has been off so much, I've listened a lot less. Some guest presenters have been superb, but sometimes it's been just another radio show. Never been a fan of Amy Lame - might give her a try, but not enthusiastic.

Guess he'll have time to finish off that book. Like everyone else, 'The Third Jarvis Cocker Record' would be lovely compensation.

He probably has a lot of other projects to work on. Maybe it just got boring after 7 years, too much like a regular job.

Well it's 5 years to the day since Pulp's last show on dry land, think that counts as a reunion-worthy period of time these days... how about a This Is Hardcore At 20 tour with orchestra next year (if no new Jarvis-related record)?

As regards the Sunday Service, I can't imagine there are many DJs who did so much preparation for a weekly show, maybe he just wants his weekends as free as possible. He needs to crack on with that book on creativity too. If the deal was 100k+ as reported at the time you imagine the publishers would want to start seeing payback as soon as possible.
