That's great, thank you so much Ian. Been listening to Manon quite a bit recently, had to dig out the 12", my copy sounds atrocious, like someone frying bacon. I suppose i could just listen to the original version but don't care to much for the whiney, irritating vocal.

I agree that the vocals are better on the re-recorded version. I've never quite got my head round why so much extra effort was put into that song - they recorded it twice and made a video for it yet there were no plans to release it as a single. The only thing I can think is that maybe there was going to be some sort of compilation that never materialised.

Yes, agreed.. I've struggled for years to understand the merits of the song. While not completely awful it's been one of those songs that I've kind of purposely ignored. Especially when others such as cousins/take you back etc... From that similar timeline have been largely passed over. Not by us but by the band. That golden era (for me) of the years '84-'87 have and still is a pulp era that i return to more frequently than others.

Where was that version of Your Sister's Clothes recorded? Nice skip in its step and some grungy mashing

All those postcards have been scanned and available to view on the Pulpwiki Eamonn.
They're in the live section as part of the O.U. tour section.
