Not sure if we all talked about this ten years ago, but Don't Let Him Waste Your Time is nicked from this Dion song? (As always, the album was disowned by Phil Spector and Dion in 1975 and then considered brilliant 30 years later.)

Yes, it is - I found out through hearing Arctic Monkeys cover of the Dion song. I promptly covered it at the first open mic I ever performed, introducing it by assuring the audience that it wasnt a Celine song, (went down well until I broke the microphone and had to finish without amplification).

I digress, quite amusing that Jarvis had to get the Crimson and Clover sample cleared for Black Magic but brazenly released DLHWYT as a single with nowt so much as an acknowledgement for Mr DiMucci. The Monkeys cover and Jarvis' song are better though. Go Sheffield!

Never knew that. Wow, a brazen steal.

I really do like the Dion song, though!

Yeah I quite the album actually. It's practically identical to Death of a Ladies' Man.
